Even if you do not live in a state where sports betting is legal, you can still place wagers as long as you are located in one that is. The key requirement on top of being physically located in a legal state is being 21 years old or above.
For online sports betting, patrons must be physically located within the state or jurisdiction to place bets on the state-sanctioned platform(s). Customers don't need to be a resident of the state where they want to place a bet.
